In this episode, I spoke with Janet Halley, the Eli Goldston Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. Professor Halley holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from UCLA, and a J.D. from Yale Law School. Professor Halley is a leading expert on feminist legal theory and has authored and edited numerous books including Split Decisions: How and Why to Take a Break From Feminism and Governance Feminism. Professor Halley has argued that feminists should take a hiatus from feminism in order to take account of harms that fall on other groups. We discussed what it means to take a break from feminism, Title IX issues on college campuses, and the impact feminism has had as it has gained political power.
