In this episode, I spoke with Gary Chartier, Associate Dean and Distinguished Professor of Law and Business Ethics at La Sierra University. Professor Chartier holds a B.A. from La Sierra University, a Ph.D. and LLD. from the University of Cambridge, and a J.D. from UCLA. He researches and writes on issues in political philosophy including anarchism and normative theory, and has authored numerous books including Anarchy and Legal Order: Law and Politics for a Stateless Society. We discussed the possibility of separating law from a state, critiques of the state, and what a legal order without a state would look like.
